Whichford Mill Barn- Soulful retreat.

We absolutely loved our time at the property. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and the surroundings are amazing. Within 10 minutes of being there I was already thinking about when I could book it again. Having the hot tub is a real treat and the sauna and river dip was an amazing experience. Cannot wait to go back.

Get the concept of the jacuzzi being fuelled by wood however was a little too much faff for us

Location and setting were just fantastic. Peaceful, remote and such a beautiful place. The barn itself is wonderful - everything is well thought out, designed beautifully and in keeping with the quirkiness and age of the building. On a practical note it pretty much had everything we needed for a few nights stay (we have a toddler and brought our dog too). The absence of a tv was welcome. The hot tub outside was a lovely touch, as was the bbq and the open space outdoors that had been cut out in the long grass.

There wasn’t much we didn’t like! Being very picky it would have been helpful to have a small freezer space in the fridge (it was exceptionally hot weather when we visited and it would have meant we could freeze ice packs for our picnic bag on days out) - but we did manage without. There were a few flies that persisted inside with it being so hot and the countryside, so a fly swat would have been handy, but I’m splitting hairs!

We stayed here over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and had the most wonderful and cosy stay! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own roast, we enjoyed the log fireplace and hot tub (which was easy enough to use), the rooms were really comfortable, and the hosts made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely come here again!

It was all perfect.
