Nice roomy house not too far from Beale Street. Good parking!!

The bed sheets were clean and smelled fresh and the pillows were comfortable. That there was Kcups provided.

That it wasn't clear we were renting a duplex; that the parking area wasn't fenced off from the burned structure; that the ceiling in the tub looked like it was ready to fall; that the tub didn't drain and the tub rug was wet; that there was no dish rag or dish soap to wash dishes; that the light in the utility room didn't work; that the entire unit needs a thorough deep clean.

This is genuinely the first time I have shared such a negative experience online / via booking. This time I do it, because I would feel bad if people came to this house with high expectations and were as disappointed as we were. The house is in a nice neighbourhood and in a street with beautiful and well-kept houses. The house you are staying in stands out because it looks the least cared for but we thought 'hey, that can happen'. The house is old and charming, basically good furnishings. The maintenance and hygiene, on the other hand, are dramatic.

When we entered the house, it was a challenge to find the lamps (we arrived 9pm). Once found, we looked around and with each step we got less enthousiastic. The kitchen was very dirty, the bathroom even dirtier. There were hairs everywhere, the sink was not clean, mould, a layer of dust over the bed edges, dirty floors. And I could go on like this for a while. We contacted the owner and indicated that we did not want to stay here and checked into a hotel late at night. Agreed with the owner of the house that we would get a full refund. The person was very friendly and understanding and I was confident that things would be fine. However, we are now 6 weeks on and I still do not have my full refund... Still hoping.. It's such a shame though. The house is basically very nice, but the poor maintenance really makes you not want to be here!

The place is old and a bit dirty. My biggest complaints were that the refrigerator was leaking and the vent was not securely placed in the floor! My aunt fell completely THROUGH the vent and her foot and leg has been bruised and hurting every sense our stay here. There was no dish detergent for us to wash our dishes and the beds were extremely uncomfortable.

It was very very nice to be able to sit on the front porch in the sunny weather!

The location is good and the price reasonable for what it is.

The property is very tired. The windows have the remnants from long dead plants caught up in them and one of them had an old towel acting as a draft excluder. The sink and bath are both heavily stained which gave a feeling of it being unclean when it wasn't actually unclean. Nothing dreadful, just a feeling that with a little care it could be a truly wonderful getaway rather than just acceptable
