Old modern house in Nara Second

Really great size, having a sofa and a table feels almost luxurious in Japan. Very well equipped kitchen. Comfortable futons. Close to a big and great supermarket.

No washing machine in the apartment.

Whole apartment for yourself, you're autonomous with the key in a key box, fridge, climatisation, futons, the japanese style!

Bad isolation and last floor so during summer it's crazy hot and keeping the air con all at all time isnt great for your health. The bathroom is tiny but does the job

Nice place to stay and close to the bus stop (2 min walking).

There are only stairs, which may be inconvenient if you bring overweight luggage.

Was not dressed up to be something it wasn’t, it was authentic. There was no laundry as indicated but the owner obliged us by allowing us to use his washing machine.

No lift to the apartment, had to lift heavy cases up a fire escape staircase. No handles on the cups. Limited hanging space.

Very clean. As in the photos. Communication with translation Never met the owner OK for the price.

We asked if we can check-in 1 hour earlier because it was raining and it was cold and he answered that the check-in time is 15:00. Far away from the main attractions. Very cold during our stay in March despite the two AC machines. No sheets. Despite being described as a modern, was just simple old.

The location is OK

The apartment is not as advertised. There is only one large bedroom, not large enough for 4 people. No extra room with a bunk bed as the photos show, no sleeping couch as the descriptions says. Table was sticky, kitchen supplies were sticky, partially eaten stuff left in the fridge. Unclear if the beds were clean since they provide no sheets, just the "fluffy part". Owner/manager doesn't speak English and couldn't explain how the apartment was not the same as advertised. Somehow they have more apartments in the building which is totally unclear after booking. So you arrive at a large building and have no clue which apartment is yours. All have a key box with the same code. Then a Japanese guys suddenly shows up and brings you to an apartment which is not what you booked. I asked for compensation but they denied.

Cleaning staff on the day of check in was the sweetest man ever. Made our entire trip brighter

The apartment is very close to the JR station and to a bus stop from which you can go to all the main sights. It was very clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed. The check-in was easy and the owner was super friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
