Old modern house in Nara Second

It's very spacious. The diner nearby opens 24 hours and is more than convenient. The food there is pretty good and of good value.

There's no elevator, and the stairs are a bit steep. It was hard to carry luggages to the third floor.

You have to climb stairs which are slippery when wet: with heavy suitcases not very convenient

Location was good, and there is a 7/11 nearby. The kitchen is well equipped.

The room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. At night we heard noise from the street as well as ambulance and firetrucks. The view from the windows is just a regular street and there is nothing from the nice pictures of green scenery there. The shower is a bit small

Spacious & well-equipped self-contained apartment for a reasonable price in walking distance from JR Nara Station and bus terminal with supermarkets close by for supplies. Host is polite and courteous with limited English but Google translate is your friend. There is a good coin laundry approx. 4 minutes up the road for washing and drying. We bought the one-day bus pass (500 yen) from JR Nara Station and the buses came regularly (every 15 minutes) and you have a wide choice of tourist & UNESCO sites along the routes. One of the stops along the route (bus stop 17) was only a 3 minute walk from our apartment. We particularly enjoyed our time with the deer in beautiful Nara Park and visiting the amazing Todaji Temple.

It was a bit of a challenge carrying luggage up 3 flights of stairs (no elevator) but travelling with only a backpack would be fine.

There is a smell from the kitchen. Maybe the filter needs changing. Smell is a big problem for me. Maybe tats why when I entered d unit, the kitchen exhaust fan was on. The paid parking is too far away.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. Good value. Good location. 15 minutes from Nara station.

We are over 75 years old and expected a house on a lake based on the picture in the listing NOT a 3 story climb up metal stairs!! This should definitely have been disclosed! We needed to cut our stay and vacation by 3 days because of the stairs. We were very upset as there is no refund once you are are at the property.

Very spacious apartment and fully equipped. Bigger than standard in Japan. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Location at 15 minutes walking from Nara station, but many buses Including the loop ones stop nearby

Check in process. I requested to check in at 4PM. Received a message that check in was at 3PM. We were there at 3:05 and nobody was there. We were waiting more than one hour at 37 degrees with a 4 year old kid. We also sent a message from booking app at 3:30. After calling by phone (international rate), we finally got the check in instructions. Basically the key was in a box with a combination next to the door. I recommend the owner to serve check in instructions at 3pm, without having to request them. My daughter didn't have a good waiting time.
