Le Gemme di Cavour Luxury Rooms

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming hotel, located right across from the Teatro Massimo and in the heart of the historic district! The location couldn’t be better—everything was within walking distance, making it easy to explore both the local landmarks and the vibrant downtown area. Rosie, one of the staff members, was incredibly helpful and attentive, providing us with excellent directions and fantastic restaurant recommendations. Thank you for a wonderful experience! My husband and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay in the area.

Amazing view. Amazing location.

It was a little spartan. No on-site staff. I didn’t know it was like an Airbnb but it was fabulous logistically. Very clean and comfortable.

The main door was awkward at times

This apartment is unbelievable. I had read the reviews about the view but we were stunned when we opened the blind. It looked like a postcard. I must admit we were room 5 which meant we had the corner balcony so we could see both the cathedral and ocean to the left and the duomo to the right (arguably the best room In the place). The place is spotlessly clean, so close to everything and felt secure and safe. The old school lift shaft is very cute too. 10/10 have told everyone about this place.

The check in was made super easy. I received a message in advance to check us in with a link. We received the instructions for accessing the building and our rooms via private message. Everything was very easy. We were so lucky to find a parking spot right in front of Gemme and we left our car there for the three days we were in Palermo. We loved the easy access to all the major attractions and night life. The area was very safe. In fact, one of the nights, I had to walk our friends back to the hotel and then met back up with my husband and tour guide for the rest of the evening. I did this alone. It was after 10pm and I felt completely safe. The staff was super courteous and friendly and always made up our rooms very quickly! I highly recommend!

Excellent central location. Small boutique rooms, thoroughly cleaned daily. Having a balcony was a bonus!

Great location

Very nice and clean, incredible view of the square just as advertised.

The place was quiet but the center square can get very loud at night even with windows all shut. The music later into the night gets worse, like karaoke night over speaker. It happened both night and the singer sounded terrible and maybe on drugs. You can’t hear the music just his terrible voice… it does quiet down around midnight so if you stay out late then it shouldn’t bother you.

The view is the main seller of the property: a breath-taking panorama that shows Palermo from above. The location is simply in the middle of the action, literally 5 meters away from the main area where you go for walks. The staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful, specifically to help with the parking and replied super quickly to any questions. I can't recommend this more, and a kudos to the manager!
