The house reef is the only thing that makes the hotel worth it.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here; the first time was in 2019, and it’s still exactly the same. They haven’t renovated anything at all, and the hotel is old and far from being a 4- or 5-star hotel.

Idéalement situé sur l'atoll Ari Sud. Accueil et personnel aux petits soins. Chambre et salle de bain très confortables, directement sur la plage, avec un spot de snorkeling formidable. Centre de plongée eurodivers très professionnel et sympathique. Bonne restauration

I stayed in a garden room for 5 nights. I was on a longer trip and booked this last minute after some change in plans. My primary reason for booking was I wanted to go snorkelling, and there were very good reviews of this house reef. So: the reef was excellent with dazzling number and variety of fish, including blacktip reef sharks. The reef was described by a regular guest as ‘recovering’ - healthy corals with good coverage just off the beach. I met lots of frequently returning guests (who were extremely well travelled, which was an endorsement.) The facilities: Beautiful location, wonderful facilities, excellent attentive service. The buffet was excellent and varied. Additional (expensive) meal options were available, but for me there was no point because the buffet was high quality. I was here at NYE, and the party/celebration was fun. The seaplane transfer was also exciting, scenic and well organised For me, this was a stunning end to a long trip

Nothing significant. I booked this last minute in a rush - as it was the last room available- and then had a few additional charges that I wasn’t expecting, which was on me for not researching enough (eg the sea plane transfer, and an additional compulsory 180 dollars for the NYE party,). PSA for the similarly inattentive: be aware that the displayed price on booking.com doesn’t include taxes and fees. Something that would elevate it from ‘excellent’ to ‘outstanding’ would be if they had resident or visiting marine biologists (I saw this in a much more budget resort in Fiji) I went on a day trip (mantas, turtles, whale sharks). It was overall a fun day, our guides were good, and we had some good sightings of mantas and turtles. However, at times there were also lots of other boats from different tours, and lots of people in the water chasing mantas. A lot of the guests in my group ignored what our guides said (eg about not chasing the mantas). This is frustrating because as well as harassing the wildlife, it is totally pointless, because they are much faster swimmers than we are, and they will swim away! And by doing this we disrupt their feeding. So, temper your expectations.

С трансфером большие проблемы. Большая задержка обратного внутреннего вылета из отеля в аэропорт Мале. С трудом успели на регистрацию на самолет в Москву. Много потраченных нервов.

Isola bellissima, resort splendido e ben organizzato. Il vero fiore all'occhiello sono le spiagge e la barriera corallina situata a pochi metri dalla spiaggia, facilmente accessibile e ricca di pesci, squali, tartarughe, ecc. La nostra villa sulla spiaggia era in una posizione fantastica, proprio sulla spiaggia ma anche in grado di garantire la privacy.

L'esperienza che ho apprezzato meno è stata l'escursione per vedere lo squalo balena. Forse dato il periodo affollato, una volta arrivati nell'area dell'avvistamento (1 ora e mezza di navigazione) abbiamo trovato tante barche e tantissime persone. Un paio di volte ci hanno detto di buttarci in mare perchè stava passando lo squalo ma lo facevano tutti contemporanemente pertanto era impossibile capire cosa stesse succedendo. The island is by located on possibly the best house reef in the Maldives. Surrounded by a relatively deep drop-off, with cooler tidal waters means there is minimal bleaching and amazing sea life. The effort seen on Xmas and New years shows they can do things properly. The people on the ground like waiters, cleaners and floor managers are fantastic. The Asian wok restaurant was by far the best, we ate there every night with 4 set menus on repeat still much better than the buffet.

This was our 4th Maldives trip but our least favorite hotel. The island resort caters for couples with no kids and families with kids, but separates them as much as possible. As a family we were forced to swim in a pool surrounded by trees. Adults get a sunset infinity pool. On an island one would like to see the ocean, and the kid friendly pool location has a really negative impact on your holiday if you have to watch your children. Our last night we were even asked to leave the beach where we could watch the sunset with our daughter because she was still on the adult beach!?! The second big issue is the way they are always upselling things in some form or other. We buy all-inclusive to not think about money. But this resort still upsells a lot: only 5 red (low quality) red wines, and no hot chocolate outside the buffet. If you don’t like the reds on offer it’s 80-200 dollars a bottle. (Markup for one bottle we know was 800% from South Africa) The festive season already has a surcharge to the normal price, but then they also have compulsory dinners with a large surcharge on Xmas and New Year’s Eve. The buffet has assigned tables. Ours was at the back next to the kitchen, so no view of the sea and kitchen noise at every meal. We ended up sitting outside for every single meal as a result. Don’t know why they can’t make four seater tables throughout and let guests decide where they want to sit based on who came first. It works outside so why not do the same inside? Last issue was with consistency: we would find a meal or drink we like; and then the next time it’s completely different. Quality was quite poor in the buffet outside of the surcharge nights - so much so that we avoided the buffet when possible.

This is a fantastic place, to relax, swim and snorkel. The beaches are gorgeous, the staff extremely helpful and friendly, and the food very good. I would not hesitate to visit again. It is like being in paradise. Beginning from the friendly welcome at the sea-plane dock, the delicious welcome drink, being shown to our cabin and the facilities, the friendly and helpful host at the restaurants and finally accommodating our request for the departure exceeded what one expects at the most exclusive and elite resorts.

There was nothing not to like about this place.
