"Perfect stay"

10.0

It was perfect! Cosy, warm, clean and a great location. Opposite a lovely pub which serves tasty pizzas! We were welcomed with a gift basket and milk which was such a thoughtful touch. Amazing location close to Llandudno and angel bay where we saw some seals! The stairs are steep (as outlined in the description of the property) so bear that in mind if mobility is an issue. We carried our dog up and down which wasn’t a problem and was prepared to do this. Lovely bathroom, clean and fresh towels.

Nothing at all! We will try to come back!

"Overall, this was a peaceful, well-equipped and dog-friendly cottage in a great location, and we’d h"

10.0

Okay, let's start with this: the stairs in the cottage are VERY STEEP (as stated in the property description), so please bear this in mind when deciding if it’s suitable for you. We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It’s very well located for exploring Llandudno, Conwy and Colwyn Bay, while avoiding the worst of the tourist crowds. The main beach is about a 10–15 minute walk away, and there are shops and several pubs close by. The cottage is also very dog friendly, which was a big plus for us. There’s a lovely bay nearby called Porth Dyniewaid, which almost always has seals basking — a real highlight and well worth the walk. There are also plenty of walks directly from the cottage around the surrounding hills and most areas were farm-animal free meaning our dogs could be let off the leads. Dog-friendly local taxis are available to and from Llandudno and Colwyn Bay, making it easy to get around without a car. All the nearby pubs are dog friendly. The Penrhyn Arms opposite the cottage serves good, honest food all week, but it’s popular so booking is recommended. The Cross Keys is a few hundred metres away and is quieter, serving drinks and snacks. The Queen’s Head in Glanwydden is about a 40-minute walk and offers a dog-friendly area with a more fine-dining style menu. We spoke with the owner, David, a few times and he’s a genuinely lovely fellow — friendly and helpful. Parking nearby was a bit hit and miss (that's the nature of the village), but we never had to park more than around 200m away. Despite being very close to a pub (just across the road), the bedroom being below the main living area meant it was peaceful and quiet at night. We’d happily recommend this cottage and would stay again.

At the time of our stay there wasn’t a solid door between the bedroom and bathroom, just a shower curtain. That said, David explained that a proper door was due to be installed the week after we left. The sleigh-style double bed was lovely and very comfortable, although as I’m 6'3" I found it a little short for me personally. This wasn’t an issue with comfort, just something taller guests may want to be aware of. It would have been helpful to have somewhere to hang coats near the front door, such as a couple of hooks or a small coat stand, and a small set of tables would have been useful as there isn’t anywhere to put drinks when sitting on the sofa. Finally, there’s no washing machine, so for longer stays you’d just need to plan clothing accordingly.

"A very enjoyable time was had by all."

10.0

Warm on arrival and throughout our stay. The shower was amazing, I didn't want to get out of it. The pub across the road is excellent for food and drink. We had a fantastic weekend made even better by the wonderful accommodation. Thank you to our hosts 🤗

The stairs leading down to the bedroom are too steep for our dog, Bella. We were made very aware of this before we booked, carrying her down was not an issue.

"Cute Cottage"

9.0

The cottage was cute, homely, warm, and in a lovely location. We were glad that we could take our dog. The bed was super comfortable, and the shower was perfect. It was great to have an actual cooker and full fridge. If we come back, we will stay longer next time. The instructions to get in were simple, and having private space was ideal.

The parking is difficult. We parked at the bottom of the road and had to wait to park closer. The steps to the bedroom are very steep and won't be suitable for anyone with any mobility issues. (We were fine with them)

A great little cosy upside down cottage. As previous reviews say, the stairs are extremely steep, but well worth it. A lovely sleigh bed and large shower room. (It's a shame they didn't put a bath in it though.) Milk in the fridge and a welcome hamper....nice touch. They'd even put Christmas decorations up too. The communication with Dave was good. The cottage is nice and warm. The pub across the road serves nice food.

Narrow roads and parking could be an issue for some people. It certainly wouldn't put me off staying again in the future.

Everything was lovely the layout the space the location so Homely welcoming comfortable very friendly beautiful and clean and everything you needed was provided.would definitely recommend it to family and friends and was worth every penny and would go again

Stairs were a little steep struggled a little because I had a hip replacement in March.also I would suggest a door from the bedroom separating the bathroom to keep the heat in especially for the winter.and the front door was sticking other than that would definitely go again well worth every penny
