"Lovely older hotel, very near the beach, but bar next door very loud."

Staff extremely friendly and helpful; charming older hotel with lots of character; room very large facing the ocean; location is fantastic just one block off the beach.

It's no fault of the hotel but it is next to a bar that played very loud music until late into the night (2:30 a.m.). It was difficult to sleep.

"Location and an Immaculate Boutique"

Jon, the host, has a delightful small (5 rooms) boutique with an available kitchen, dining area, and two outside areas to sit and relax. My room was comfortable with a large bathroom. Everything was IMMACULATE! Also walking distance to central Progreso.

Please have a good pair of earplugs with you. The place next door has music into the morning hours on SOME nights during the week. Also, some “beach” traffic. Guess it comes with “the territory”.
