Cosy Cabin on the Golden Circle

We loved the vibe and coziness of the cabin

Bathroom facilities were a little on the downside due to the poor drainage and only one toilet available. Kitchen stove only allowed us to use one stove at a time, otherwise it would shut off..

Fantastic location with easy access to everything we were looking for. The kids loved the hot tub. It was great to have a big enough table to seat everyone and a kitchen that was well equipped enough to cook in.

Some of the light switches seemed to be a bit temperamental, so it was a bit dark in the cabin. We didn't mention this to the owner though

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The location was excellent and quiet, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Finding the place in the dark was a bit challenging, but the host was incredibly responsive and helpful, guiding us to the right entrance via messages. Pro tip: If using Apple Maps, be aware it might lead you down a closed path - start from Gunnarsbraut street instead! The property itself was a delight - impeccably clean, cozy, and well-equipped for self-catering. Despite the cold outside, the interior was comfortably warm. As an unexpected bonus, we were treated to a spectacular display of Northern Lights, even though the forecast had been low!

One minor hiccup was the hot tub, which wasn’t functional due to damage caused by previous guests. However, the host’s response was exemplary. They came to check it promptly and offered a generous refund, which covered more than a fantastic trip to the Laugarvatn Fontana hot springs for all six of us. A word of advice to future guests: please report any issues to the host immediately to avoid inconveniences for the next visitors.

Spacious cabin in a lovely, quiet location convenient for the Golden Circle.

Spacious, well designed and comfortable. Hot water is not directly geothermal (no sulfur smell 😊). Great hot tub.

Heating in bathroom and one of the bedrooms did not work. No medium or small sized pans to fit the stove size.
