Phinisi Villas - Seminyak Beach

The Villa was incredible! Lots of room for the kids to play, the pool was amazing. But the stand out was Ketut. He made our stay memorable.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The staff are attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We had daily breakfast cooked for us in our villa which was so filling and the best way to start the day. The location was excellent. Easy walk to shops and flea market. The beach too was only a 3 minute stroll. So many places to eat out at within walking distance too and if you are not able to do the 10 walk there is always scooters and taxis for $10 or less.

I really enjoyed my stay and loved the decor. Some aspects are tiered and could be improved so if you are a picky traveler and like to complain go stay at a big chain resort.

Great location a few minutes away from the beach and Ku De Ta. Pleasant private pool. Nice retro projector to watch movies.

Shameful maintenance of the villa. Not at all at the standard of other villas you find in Seminyak. We even didn’t dare to use the kitchen or any utensils as it was looking filthy. Not in line with the pictures you see on Booking.com.

Heaps of space and towels. The lounge had a projector tv and the pool connected to the living area was amazing

Everything u could ever need

The pictures are very different than the reality. It is very dirty and smells like canalization. The living room is an open space so the heat, humidity and mosquitos are unbearable. We could’t stay at this property, we moved out even though it was non-refundable. Terrible choice for us, thankfully we moved to the hotel next door (Oberoi beach resort) and we saved our holiday.

Staff we very friendly and accommodating- very happy to help organise massages, water, taxis and even money changing. The lagoon pool was perfect for our young kids. Security outside at night made it feel safe. The projector with Netflix was great for the kids and The purified water station was good too.

This is about jempiring villa- 5 bedroom villa. My biggest complaint would be the lack of hot water at the kitchen sink. This meant all our plates, cups, cutlery were washed in cold Balinese water and therefore smelt and weren’t actually clean. There was a leak under the sink aswell. The villa is a wooden villa- the floor in the lounge room has warped and there were mats over the top to try to fix it but it was very noticeable. The stairs were very steep wooden stairs, they moved as you walked. I did not feel comfortable with children going up them. All the surfaces were wooden and had little mites living in the wood- so you weren’t able to leave any food on any surface. There were a lot of mosquitoes- we kept all doors closed during the day and sprayed rooms at night however kids all managed to get bitten- perhaps providing nets when there are open bathrooms would be a good idea. Air conditioners in each room didn’t work very well. The downstairs toilet had a very strong smell to it. The sliding doors couldn’t be sealed properly (which wasn’t ideal when we saw a rat running along them). All in all the place needs a serious upgrade. I have stayed in far nicer places for similar amounts of money.
