Casa Lazzaro al centro di Siena

The property was ideally situated with a cafe located just across the street and close to the escalators that would whisk you to the top of the hill where the cathedal and main piazza were located. In addition, parking was conveniently located on site. The property itself was clean, comfortable and wll appointed.

The house is absolutely beautiful. A real, unique experience. Good location.

De ligging t.o.v. de oude stadskern van Siena. Een groot huis onderaan de weg naar boven. Veel privacy, eigen parkeerplaats, terrein omgeven door afgesloten hek. Goed uitgerust met twee badkamers, oven, fornuis, koelkast, vriezer.

Het soms moeizaam communiceren met de eigenaar. Deze was zelf niet aanwezig, vermoeden wij, en haar moeder sprak geen Engels. Dus communiceren ging via de mail waarop soms dagen geen antwoord kwam.

Quite possibly one of the best apartments I have ever stayed at! The photos simply do not do it justice. Steeped in history, the apartment perfectly encapsulates the true essence and passion of the magical city of Siena. Offering guests a porthole into the city's rich history and tradition, for anyone looking for a stay which will truly immerse you in the beauty and uniqueness of this city, this is the place to stay. Perfectly located right outside the city walls (through which visitors are unable to drive), the property also offers secure parking, enabling you easy access to one of the main escalators up to the heart of the city. Hosts were accommodating and very approachable. Perfect in every way. I didn't want to leave and will certainly be returning again! Grazie mille ❤️

Guests should note that the rustic kitchen is quite basic and a lack of plates/cooking utensils make cooking difficult.

Casa Lazzaro is such a charming home full of family history and spaces to relax after a long day. It's located right outside the Siena city gates, so it's walkable and accessible by car for those that are renting a vehicle. It was quiet, comfortable, and the hosts and their family were friendly and accommodating. If given the chance, we would definitely stay again!

The location is great for visiting Siena, its a 5 minute walk to the bottom of escalators (which are free), so you are in town within 10/15 minutes. The parking is fantastic with plenty of space to turn around and inside their gated driveway. The Casa itself is very spacious with plenty of authentic features. We were greeted happily and had great communication throughout our stay.

The kettle had quite a lot of limescale inside which tended to go past the filter and pour into drinks, we needed to use the kettle a lot for making milk for our baby. It probably wouldn't be a problem for many. There was also quite a lot of noise from the neighbours throughout the night. The noise would also be less if the windows were shut, but due to the warmth it's best keeping them open and having the bedroom cool.

Casa Lazzaro was absolutely amazing. You can’t drive through Siena’s historic centre, but this place is literally the last point you can reach by car – perfect if you’re arriving with luggage or looking for somewhere with parking. The location couldn’t be better. The house itself is stunning – beautiful, full of charm, and you can really feel the history of the Lazzaro family in every room. It’s incredible to stay in a home that’s been part of the family for generations. There’s a lovely little café just across the road that opens early – ideal for a morning cappuccino (and honestly one of the best we had in Siena). Food and drink options nearby are fantastic. The hosts live upstairs and are genuinely lovely – warm, friendly, and on hand if you need anything at all. We absolutely loved our stay – Siena is truly a magical place, and Casa Lázaro made it even more special.
