Granger Hotel San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter, a Member of Design Hotels

Good location, nice hotel

In the past, breakfast was included and a cocktail in evening. That’s been stopped which is disappointing. It was a nice perk.

I loved the location. I loved the staff. I loved the decor and ambiance of the hotel.

It was clean and comfortable.

Corridors were too dark and gloomy. But the room was very nice and bright.

Ideally located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, on a relatively quiet block, I wasn’t really bothered by street noise, even though my windows were facing the street. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated. The room was small and very cozy, the décor is truly well done, and the bathroom was very clean. I loved the self-service coffee station on the landing! (And even though the one on my floor needed some maintenance, I was able to use the one upstairs.)

The neighborhood is difficult for parking, and the city’s parking restrictions make it hard to fully enjoy an evening out in addition to your hotel stay. (However, there are private parking options available around the area.)

Really great breakfast and a fabulous location! Easy to walk to many attractions and fun places. Rooms were comfortable and well-appointed. Loved the free snacks/beverages available on each floor!

Rooms located near the elevator can be a bit a noisy both from the elevator and from the free snack/beverage center on each floor. Limited storage in the rooms is also a bit tricky.
