Granger Hotel San Diego Downtown Gaslamp Quarter, a Member of Design Hotels

The design, the staff, the comfy bed. The room, although a little small, had everything we needed, including two chairs and a small table, night tables with lamps, good natural light, fridge, safe, armoire with hangers, blackout curtains, and luxurious-smelling bath products. Downtown location is convenient — we walked to the waterfront, Little Italy and a well-stocked supermarket. The staff is exceptionally attentive and personable. We would stay again.

We were surprised at the large number of apparently indigent people on the street in downtown, although we never felt unsafe.

Noisy Breakfast is limited and only starts after 7.30 (for example I would have preferred to have more choice in bread and healthy options such as cheese, ham, vegetables.

This place is a gem! Love the breakfast. The design, the rooms, the valet, the cocktails upon arrival. We had the best time!
