Serene spacious room (double) in gorgeous bungalow on river near Thorpe park and Holloway University Egham

Such a warm and friendly welcome from our host Anita. We loved the fantastic home-made Indian food… Such a treat! The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was perfect. We sat by the river at the bottom of the garden for awhile, which was a real treat as the sun went down.

The hosts went above and beyond and everything was clean and tidy.

I was really welcomed and made to feel their home was my home. The property is really lovely, and they were very accepting of my dog as well. The position is outstanding, with a lovely garden and a frontage directly on the Thames. In addition, there are dog walks along the river towards Staines and dog friendly pub (the Swan).

I was a bit constrained as I needed space for walking my spaniel, but the house has locked gates, so I needed to ask each time I left and returned to the property. The property is also beautifully clean and light-coloured inside. So, it is not really conducive to having a potentially muddy dog indoors. I guess this is my problem, which we all managed really well.

Nice to have secure parking. Hosts very friendly. Sparkling bathroom, with modern, and very importantly, easy to use shower. Heat of shower water excellent (not too hot). Bed comfortable, especially with electric blanket.

Not so much didn't like, but a couple of small things would have upgraded my already pleasant experience. The shower had a non-slip mat which was good to have, but personally, it would have been even better if it had been twice the length - don't know if such a thing is available on the market. In the bedroom, a bedside light would be helpful.

Excellent host great place . They could not do enough for us . Unfortunately it was a quick stay and base for our activities but would definitely stay longer next time to enjoy the area more.
