Excellent meal - came really fresh cooked - more than enough - and surprisingly quick too !!!!!!!

No where to put toiletries in bathroom, a shelf would be great One of my towels was soiled

The bedroom suite was well appointed and newly refurbished. The restaurant food was really good with ample choices. We thoroughly enjoyed the Live Music night in the bar and will definitely return, as the hotel is located just a few minutes drive from our son’s home.

Can we make these constructive suggestions for Fern Room where we stayed: 1. There wasn’t a shaving point in the bathroom 2. The shower tray should be non slip- my husband nearly had a fall, and there’s no grab handle either in the shower which is a must for older guests 3. There is no power point convenient for the kettle which had a short wire- we had to boil water with the kettle on the carpet by the wardrobe 4. A soap dish on the window sill by the bath tub would be great

Inchecken, administratieve afhandeling ter plekke. Buitenproportionele extra kosten voor hond op de kamer, geen communicatie over party met geluidsoverlast op een vd avonden, vooraf werd enkel genoemd dat we niet konden dineren ivm prive event en werd ons alternatief geadviseerd maar wat verzuimd werd was dat het een party was tot middernacht met DJ onder onze kamers. Ze hadden beter geen andere hotelgasten moeten toelaten of moeten melden nu konden we geen kant meer op.

The Black Horse is a lovely old pub that has had a.huge makeover but has retained its old world charm in its fixtures and fittings. This creates a homely feel which together with brilliant staff, good food and a location on a country lane overlooking fields and woods is a lovely place to stay, but still in easy reach of local tourist attractions.
