Great cozy pub with great food and a great host

Absolutely nothing. It was without a shadow of doubt the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

Everything! The room was filthy. The bathroom disgusting. Furnishings and bedding were like cheap and nasty and the looked like the came from the 1970’s! Loose wires and dodgy extension cables. A noisy old fridge that was too big and heavy for the rickety unit it was placed. A electric kettle whose lid was unattatched. Empty crisp packet and dirt under the bed. A hot water unit in the bathroom that was so hot it had burnt the enamel off the sink basin. Disgusting surroundings … rubbish overflowing bins empty cooking oil drums and dirty cloths left lying around.

Cosy and rustic with some beautiful view of the landscape in a lovely traditional pub setting. Loved the timber framing and warm welcome!

The location as it was near to the address we were visiting in the village

I booked the room for friends who were visiting us for a birthday party at we live in the village. Having used the pub for food on a number occasions it seemed to be the right decision to use their accommodation. How ever my friends were not impressed and infomed me The room was in need of some decor improvement as there was flaking paint on the ceiling, the air vent was dirty and even a bird feather stuck in one of the vents, the shower cubicle appeared not to havd been cleaned with old water stains on the screen, the bed looked like it had been slept in on as the bedding was creased. The free-standing clothes rail/ hanger was unstable and wobberly, and when a suit, it almost fell over the weight. Although 2 complimentary small boxes of cereal, some milk and water were provided. It didn't make up for the overall condition/ state of the room. They will be providing their own feedback! / review, which will not be very good

The room and toilet were clean, the bed very confortable. I did enjoy the coffee, the cereal with fresh milk
