Luxury Suite by Tampa Convention Center & Hospital

Location to downtown Tampa is a 10-15 walk. Jump on the red trolley stop 10 by the convention center to save steps to the local restaurants or even continue to Ebor City stop #2 for the bar areas. The Sail and American Social are a quick walk by the river for good drinks and food.

It is small but is exactly what we expected. No real complaints.

I would not describe this as a luxury suite. It is effectively a very small open plan studio flat. Decor is dated, kitchen area is very small, wifi is average and plug sockets are not where they need to be although extension leads were supplied.

It was close to Amalie Arena, and it was very good quality for the price.

The air isn’t central air so there is only one AC unit in the tv room, which is directly beside the bedroom. It tended to get kind of warm at night but it wasn’t terrible.

The location was perfect for our stay in Tampa! We were able to park and leave our car the entirety of our stay, and there is enough parking. We spent almost our entire stay at the Tampa Convention Center which was an easy walk of 10-15 minutes. There is a Publix between the suite and the convention center, which was super handy. The kitchen had everything we needed for eating and cooking! That was a huge plus and helped us save money on our meals. There is an iron/ironing board, plenty of towels, hairdryer. Having a door code was such a huge bonus, so we didn't have to keep up with a key. There is a front door light, really handy for nighttime returns.

Although there was a table and chairs, we weren't really able to use it for eating as that space wasn't as big as expected, BUT they were perfect for holding our luggage and other items. The house is older and the floor did slant quite a bit. The room with the fold out sofa/kitchen area is quite bright at night, despite the curtains and blind. I meant to bring painter's tape and black trash bags to make a removable cover for the windows, but forgot. These negatives to not impact our stay to badly. Overall I would say this is a great place and we would stay there again.
