Alba Inn Sanur by SooBali

The place is really clean, it looks new. The bed is comfortable. Water pressure is sufficient. AC is new and modern (which is important in Sanur) The location is good, but I know my way around anyway.

The room is quite small compared to others in the same range in Sanur, the bathroom is the size of an airplane lavatory, but that's fine. The annoying thing is that there's only one staff at all time so checking in I have to call someone to notify him (he's inside the room, cleaning), and checking out meaning I have to carry my own bags (I travel with big, heavy dive bag) through very narrow stairs. The guy was nowhere to be seen. That was not fun. There's no amenities in the room, no water nor water kettle, means I have to go up and down that narrow stairs for a cup of water or coffee.

Great location. Close to the sea, the main street, but on a calm, quiet street. The female employee was very friendly and always ready to help.

Unfortunately, this weird modern way of opening the door didn't work at all! I had to ask a staff member to open my door 9 times out of 10. It was completely inconvenient and I was always afraid that I wouldn't be able to get into my room if there was no one at the front desk. There were also 2 different people at the front desk. If it were a boy, I could not solve a single question. His English was too bad and it caused a lot of misunderstandings. I asked about bicycles and he said they didn't have any. Imagine my surprise when I decided to ask the same question the next day and found out that I could get a bike for the whole day for free. The window view was disappointing

Location and room was nice

It was loud, the doors all had codes and close to each other down the hall so I’d be waking up all night as people were getting home. The staff didn’t clean the rooms or give you fresh towels. I was there 6 nights and they never cleaned it once. It’s definitely more of an overnight stay place, don’t stay longer than you have to

The communal room is the best I've seen: Modern, clean and welcoming. The clean linoleum flooring in the room was heaven to my feet.

It was a very short distance from the waterfront and very conveniently across from a beach access path off of the main road. The facilities were kept clean and the room was comfortable with nice beds, hot shower water, and AC. Access to enter was electronic by FOB or code. Convenient hostel-like kitchen amenities were available in the public space.

There isn't anything I didn't like, but it's important to know that this room is more hostel-like than hotel-like. It's just big enough for beds and bags and the bathroom is a toilet/shower combination, so the shower is handheld and is in the same small space as the toilet.

It needs a little more shelving/storing for your things/clothes also another bedside table would be great
