The Dewi Eco Bamboo Villa

The facilities listed on booking.com were not there. No wellness/spa centre, no TV, no mini bar, no aircon, not even a fan, no jacuzzi, just a cold plunge tub, there is insufficient hot water to make it even pleasant. They have instant noodles on the menu so go figure. The staff were noisy, unprofessional, the place is run by a bunch of teenagers that use it as their own holiday camp. They sit outside your villa till late at night in their boxer shorts having fun. No respect for the guests peace and rest. The flies are truly so bad, you are constantly covered in them. We were both exhausted after our stay there.

The flies were out of control. This place is really out in the middle of knowwhere - no where to purchase supplies Very limited food at the restaurant - no mini bar to keep drinks cold in the room. Everything you need is extra costs Very loud music and singing all night from neighbours. We had booked for two nights but had to leave after the first night. No option for refund.

Beautiful villa’s in Bamboo style, with a marvelous view on the Batur and the Lake.

It is not easy to find, maybe put some signs up on the road.

Major Flies issue

I am a celiac and there was absolutely nothing to eat, i went hungry and left at 7am with a driver to go and get breakfast. The staff do not speak any english, advising me there is 'no gluten in the food' giving me wheat. The foods i could eat fish etc were inconveniently 'out of stock'. I was so hungry. The tap in our room leaked, the beds are not very hard. The views are exceptional. The wifi is very poor.

Food, service, lack of consideration / care towards us.

Die Villa und der Ausblick sind wirklich traumhaft schön! ABER: sobald die Sonne aufgeht, kommen auch die Fliegen, und wir meinen wirklich viele! Man kann nicht entspannen, weil man permanent die Fliegen am wegjagen ist. Das killt alle schönen Vibes und die Fliegen sind so penetrant, dass auch an draußen Essen nicht zu denken ist. Aufgrund der Fliegenplage sind wir auch früher abgereist. Die Kommunikation war mäßig, weil sie kein gutes Englisch können. Als wir die Mount Batur buchten, war morgens auch niemand da, der das Tor geöffnet bzw wieder geschlossen hat. Die Villen sind sehr hellhörig, man hört wirklich alles. Wenn unten in Dorf eine Party hat, kann man direkt mitfeiern. Schlaf und Erholung haben wir somit nur wenig bekommen.
