The Dewi Eco Bamboo Villa

Pretty cool view and the bamboo house is really nice as you see in social media and on the site. However, there is a critical issue that made me check out earlier. The issue is there are a lot of flies during the morning period. It kills the whole experience. Am talking about hundreds of flies that will sit on you and your food.

It was awesome place to stay. You have to come here to check and see the beautiful sunrise here. It’s a bit far from everything but totally worth to go there. We enjoyed our stay.

The villa is beautifully designed in bamboo, absolutely spectacular to experience sleeping here and enjoying the amazing view of Mt Batur. Loved the swing seat and the hammock upstairs. The bed was really comfortable.

Where to start, we were here for our honeymoon and paid a lot of money to stay here. There is no management on-site and the young boys and girls tried hard but need guidance and direction how to manage a hotel and a restaurant. English was very limited and it was hard to communicate at all. The shower was not hot for 3 days and since it's colder up in the mountains it's worth to have hot water, especially for the price you pay. The food and drink menu is poor and simple for a place like this. The employers didn't understand initially that customers like they drinks cold, there was no wine available, smoothie bowl was tiny and chips we got on the second day were cold. Nothing the management can do about, but when you eat food at your villa you get tons of flies everywhere which is not enjoyable, but unfortunately part of the farming area. Also the location is so remote that you can't go anywhere else for food, so key is that your food options and serving are to the point with lots of variety. We stayed for 3 nights and got tired of the limited options. We will not stay here again and probably will not recommend if the price doesn't drop. It's not worth paying this amount of money without getting a good service. Otherwise I feel you are scamming people.

It's a mission to get to. Some drivers won't even consider going up the mountain. Would be more convenient just to use the transport service they provide. Also the jacuzzi didn't work which was a shame.

The view and the look of the Bamboo Villa.

Unfortunately a lot of things are wrongly advertised. It started with a free pick up from the airport as mentioned in Booking.com. It was not free. They charged us IDR 800.000. After we pointed them out about their advertisement they changed it. No compensation or sorry. When arrived they told us the jacuzzi was not working. Unfortunate. Later it appeared that there is no warm water supply to heat the bath water. The system was not installed yet. Next morning there was no electricity. Actually a lot of things where not completed yet. Something the management should have been honest about. Make it a soft opening or so. The staff on the premises did there best to make us happy. The failure is with the management which was not on site. A red flag was already raised with regards to the transportation issue.

Beautiful bamboo house in a wonderfull place. The view is amazing, the house is confortable and the staff is very professional. I really enjoy my weekend there. Thanks to the staff 🙏
