Close to city centre home

The property is clean quite area and have everything what u need

Everything was great. Rooms nice and clean as well as kitchen. Street was really quiet.

The host was very friendly and he provided useful information on local amenities. There was a good range of appliances in the kitchen and plenty of coffee/tea provided. The location is safe and very good for links to city centre and ferries. Bed in the main bedroom was clean and comfy. Very fast Wi-fi. Nice interior with character.

There are only 2 bedrooms, not 3 as advertised. The main bedroom was fine with a comfortable double bed but the 2nd bedroom is very small and has a bunk bed, merely suitable for kids and teenagers. There is a very uncomfortable sofa/bed in the lounge. The electric shower looks new but has low pressure and is very hard to get a constant and comfortable temperature. I've had homes with electric showers for years but never had such an uncomfortable showering experience. The place is in need of TLC and a deep clean. The carpets upstairs and especially on the stairs were worn and filthy. The house reeks of wet dog smell and this cannot be covered up by the amount of air fresheners that are placed throughout. The place has an oil heating system and the oil tank is located in the enclosed back, just outside the kitchen. This causes a strong fuel odour which actually nauseated me. The small tv is hooked up to a DTV antenna for Freeview TV but the reception is weak. There is an HDMI input though. We felt uncomfortable mainly due to the odours of the carpets and oil heating system. The property has great potential and the current situation may work very well for other people.

Comfortable house, well equipped kitchen, good wifi, very clean, area felt safe, bus stop to city centre very near, good shops and cafes locally, bed comfortable, towels and bedding clean, host lived near.

I found the shower very difficult to adjust - either too hot or too cold, so was an unpleasant experience. Staircase would be illegal for under fives as side open. Some of the electrical sockets need attention.
