Everything is ok

This was a real gem in Kandy! The view was amazing and the service from booking to departure was really accommodating and great. Very caring host and caretaker, nothing was too much trouble as I was travelling with my family and needed to ensure it was safe and the menu worked with our special requirements. It was really good value for money compared to the other properties in the area. I highly recommend this property and would stay there again next time we come to the area. Loved our stay. We ate a couple of meals from the property and the caretaker gave us vegetables and fruits grown at the premises which was awesome. The property was very new and clean and the internet worked very well in all the rooms we booked.

There was nothing we disliked. I would only suggest that you communicate your requirements prior to your arrival like your expected time and any special food requests (if any). Also there is no signage as yet (new property) so ensure you follow the guidelines given by the host. It's a easy 10 minute drive from the city.

We were greeted kindly, shown our room and brought a quite tasty cup of coffee. The bed seemed somewhat clean. And that's about it for the positives.

Not quite sure where all the positive reviews come from.. The windows are built so poorly, that flies, moths, mosquitoes etc. can enter through a closed window. Also there were weird huge moth nesting so we had 25+ of them making noise at the window (inside) and had every few minutes some of them flying towards us. After asking for help we were told there is nothing they can do. (Also no possibility to hang up a net above the bed.) The hygiene in the bathroom was disgusting. The inside of the toilet hasn't seen a brush for weeks (stained yellow and brown in many colours), toilet seat permanently and non-permanently stained, dirty sink, dirty mirror, dirty showerhead with mold and only one mode of the shower functional. Bathroom has no fan or real window, just some wooden shades facing into the hallway/inside the house. Just 3-5 min of cleaning could have done a huge difference - I know, because I cleaned with the bit I have had with me. There was an AC unit, but no remote/other possibility to operate. You can hear everything inside this 'Villa' as if it is happening inside your own room. Breakfast was served on wet and oily plates, wet cups and dirty cutlery. The owner was called multiple times and the phone was given to us while eating. Regarding the Breakfast: the evening we arrived we ordered a vegetable sandwich and omlette for breakfast. At the breakfast table we were awaited by a plate of watermelon and plenty of ants plus some cold mushy Toasts. The Omlette was made fresh but was served with sausages neither of us ordered. When we didn't eat up the sausages (cause we are vegetarians), the hotel manager was called once again and told us, that we have to pay the whole price nevertheless. After a long explanation he was willing to compromise on the price. Weird concept.

I loved my stay, all the way up on the mountain with a lovely view, specially in the morning waked up with birds sounds. I would rather say value for money.

Low Water Pressure in Shower Head.

I liked the hotel very much as it was calm, serene and very quiet. The hotel has been constructed just recently, and therefor it was very modern. The hotel was very spacious and clean. Toilets are large and spacious too. Being up on Hantana mountain, we felt like we were on top of the world. From our room, we had an amazing view of both the beautiful Kandy city and the mountains on the other side. The best part was the rooftop of the hotel. From up there, you can see the whole city, the Hantana mountain range, Bahirawakanda, and other mountains all around. The view is just stunning. Also, there was a designated cook for us. We had all the three meals from the hotel cooked specifically for us on the menu we wanted. We got fresh food and vegetables grown in the vegetable pot of the land. It was wonderful experience.

There is nothing we can complain about this hotel. Everything was perfect.

The view is amazing, the service too. Care taker is helpful and friendly.

Access to vehicles. Some drivers refuse to come to the location.
