Llangollen cosy apartment & Double room in cottage

Absolutely loved the appartment. Little gem of a find.. A real cozy home from home. Such a nice vibe and a little haven at the end of a busy days activities. Everything we needed and wanted for our stay. Easy check in.. clear instructions. Parkibg right outside and walkable to everything. We didn't touch the car again until we visited Bala lake.

I didn't like leaving, really hope to be back soon.

Needs lots of work bit run down inside and out

The downstairs area was perfect for 2 adults, a young person and a dog. Beautiful wooden floors, a nice kitchen a drying cloth wouldnt go a miss for the dishes.. The bedroom was large and spacious and private. Had plenty of sockets and the mirror was a great size. and I loved listening to the rush of the river when the double doors were open. The floor had lovely floorboards however could do with a polish. Location 100% for the railway. A TV in the bedroom and one in the living room was ideal. Plenty of hot water and power shower. Loved that it is Dog friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our two days spent there.

Sad to say The beds upstairs were not comfortable. They were lumpy and bumpy The duvet was too small for two single beds pushed together . Duvet was bad quality so were the pillows.The sofa bed my daughter slept in was the best of three beds. New mattresses or indeed toppers could make a world of difference and add a little comfort to upstairs.. Build the spend into the price. You need to be well at yourself to climb the spiral staircase and to take a shower. Don't get me wrong the power shower was fantastic once I found a way to climb in and out the bath. It's not bad its a a quirky feature . This is a gem of a place in the heart of beautiful Llangollen and it was great for the two nights. We have been visiting this fabulous part of the world for the past 14 years for two weeks in August. Its not ideal for a long stay. (No need for the netting on the double doors upstairs) it makes the room look tired. The truth is I don't think we could get another property for that price anywhere. We would love to go back for a short stay.

Ideal space for 1 or 2 people. Dedicated parking space right outside. Easy walk in to Llangollen town and local amenities and walks. Its really quiet and peaceful. Woke up to birds chattering and bubbling brook. Access to streaming services through Amazon dongle is really good although the one in the bedroom didtn always work but fine downstairs.

The place is really quite tired and need of an overhaul. A few jobs around the place look bodged and makes it look really tatty. There are very limited pots, pans and ovenware so maybe take some with you. It all works but poor condition, tatty like a broken kitchen draw, The fridge door didnt always close properly and tatty. The spiral stairs are safe but a bit wobbly and quite tight so not ideal for anyone less mobile. Bathroom needs completely gutting and starting again.
