Cozy Historic Family Home in the Heart of Richmond

The property was very clean and well looked after. There was plenty of space and very comfortable beds to sleep in.

The only thing that was not the best was the parking situation. There is only street parking and it was sometimes challenging to find a spot close to the house.

Big, well furnished, stylish

Very spacious with everything you need. Fully stocked coffee amenities- kcups and creamers. Beds were comfy with plenty of pillows and blankets. The living room is large with lots of seating and a big tv- we were able to hook up our switch to play games.

It is right on Broad street so there was some traffic noise.

A lot of passion went into this project, every need was met. It functioned as an exciting home in a cool hip neighborhood that made you feel like you have experienced it as a resident.

Comfortable beds, with plenty of blankets and pillows. The property owner also has coffee stocked with minimal checkout tasks. Overall a very nice home for a group of friends to stay in. Plenty of room for each person to have privacy when needed, but also enough seating in the living area that we could comfortably hang out together in the living area.

Just some mild upkeep needed the main bathroom, but the property owner is very open to feedback, and I expect these items will be quickly rectified for the next guests. The area is a bit patchy after dark depending on which direction you are walking. It would be best to have a buddy for safety reasons.

It was a clean and nice historical home, which was a novelty for us. Recently updated kitchen. Also, this may sound silly but thankfully the home had a very large jar of Keurig cups and we went through almost all of them, since we love coffee. The on-street parking had us worried when we first pulled up, but in three days we always found a very close spot. Finally, she reset the door code for us using a number that was easy for us to remember (we appreciate that).

Not a negative, per se, and we were fine with this, but please note this is a townhouse with 6-8 steps to get to the front door, if that is an issue for you.

The location was excellent, it was easy walking distance to a good breakfast place and other places we wanted to see. However, parking was a problem. We had to park about a block away when we came back in the evenings. The hostess was responsive when we called to report that there were only 3 towels for 6 guests.

The description clearly stated that there were 2 bathrooms, when in reality there was only a bath and a half. That means we had only 1 shower/tub combination to use for 5 people and we could not use the sinks to take sink baths, because there was no door on that part of the bathroom. Also the pictures of the place included pictures of a separate unit so it looked like it was much roomier than it really was. We explained our concerns to the host and to booking.com then delayed submitting our review to see if the description and pictures would be updated to reflect the actual unit. Although it is actually a pretty nice place, which I would rent for 2 people, I feel it is important to write this review so others renting this unit for larger groups are not mislead.

Classic, cozy house

Check-in process Due to the lock system broke down, we got to stand in front of the door for an hour, out in the cold. Water pressure not good, poor shower exp. Air conditioning no good, too hot in midnight.
