The Retreat, luxury studio apartment in Bath with parking

- Location - 5 min drive to the city centre - Clean and modern looking flat with a view to the garden - Flat included everything you may need for a short stay

The flat seems to suffer from bad sound insulation - we could hear each step while they walked in the rooms around us, even at 1 am! The noise started again at 6 am each day - which is not ideal when you hope to relax and sleep in. We could even hear the washing machine running on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. We came to Bath to go to the spa - we had lovely morning sessions on Saturday and after lunch we wanted to rest at our accommodation but with the noise and even the sounds of arguing coming from the rooms around us, it was sadly not possible.

The apartment has been finished to a very high level. None of your usual 'good enough' fittings, everything from the kitchen through to the bathroom fittings were quality products. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking implements, cutlery and crockery. Access was easy and the owners sent through all the details and the property 'Manual' well in advance.

Whilst we didnt ask to change the hours, checkin from 5pm and checkout by 10am was somewhat restrictive compared with most properties I've used. The bed seemed a little saggy and could be due a replacement. The TV in the lounge was fine, in a perfect world I would have appreciated one in the bedroom also. But generally this is nit-picking

Excellent communication before arrival. Leaving dog bowls, treats and a blanket was a lovely surprise for my dog. Secure outdoor area too.

Extremely clean and comfortable in a lovely neighbourhood. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. Warm and cozy.

I booked a weekend get away for myself, my mum and sister in The Retreat luxury apartment in Bath.It was the perfect pre Christmas break.The apartment was absolute luxury, Peter and Sara communicated all information and even left us a plate of mini mince pies and a cute little Christmas tree and card, delightful 🎄 I would highly recommend this property, and would love to visit again sometime in the future. Location is good with easy access to the roads and half hour walking distance to the town centre. Very good modern furnishings and fittings and excellent shower made our stay comfortable. It was first time that we encountered all-in one oven with microwave function - which worked well. TV has been conveniently configured, and we could watch Netflix by logging via our home account. Dogs loved visiting the garden and walking to town.

It would be better if there was a fenced off area for dogs in the back garden. We had to keep our two dogs on leads all the time to make sure that they do not jump on the swimming pool cover. As there was metal staircase for access from the front of the house, our small dogs were not confident with it and we had to carry them to the entrance of the apartment. The sofa bed had incomplete bedlinen set.

Very modern ,cosy and well equipped apartment , in a good location and in easy reach of the main attractions in Bath. A clear guide book welcomes you with everything you need to know and the hosts are happy to help you.

Parking close to the property or in the cul de sac was almost impossible so had to park on the main road about 200 meters away . TV often looses connection and freezes .
