Spa facilities and therapists were amazing! Room was lovely and very spacious. All the spaces are tastefully decorated and warm; especially loved the design of Veld restaraunt.

Reception/check-in was underwhelming, at both the spa and the main hotel. However the rest of the staff experience was very very good and accomodating.

The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The staff were all very friendly and keen to help. The standard of food at breakfast was excellent and the food in Veld restaurant also very good. The 4pm wine tasting experience was informative and enjoyable. It’s a very safe environment to walk around in. There seemed to be a lot of very happy parents and children around.

Traffic noise from the R310 is audible when walking around at Spier but not a major issue. The only negative we experienced was an incorrect final bill containing food and beverage costs posted to our room which were nothing to do with us. Amazingly some of these were dated 2 weeks before our stay! So double checking your bill carefully on departure is advised.
