Perfect place to stay with toddlers. Kids club was brilliant.

The property is fine ,no problems there

Your staff members,Wiseman and Bongani were very unpleasant, firstly they did not offer us any welcome drinks Wiseman treated us in a way that was very offensive, him and Bongani had said we should leave our luggage outside because our room was not ready, thank God the other porter and Gideon were there to assist and take our luggage inside and assured us that it would be stored safely. That time Wiseman was so helpful and very nice to other guests and had no care for us and had no problem hiding that. When we came back from wine tasting and asked them why they did that ,Bongani simply laughed and Wiseman had no care and infact said he did nothing wrong. I am so disappointed at Spier with this ,I had no idea that Spier had such some staff members that somehow treating other customers especially that of colour with such disrespect and no care. My husband and I have been members of Spier for a very long time and I have never ever felt so small and disregarded by staff members in my life. My husband and I were celebrating our 14th anniversary and decided to spend it there, but I have to say, it really started on a very bad note , I am so hurt, especially because we had to even convince Wiseman for him to even see that he was in the wrong , I am so hurt and disappointed. Thank God for the guys at the restaurant who really tried to cheer us up because they also knew what had happened and how wrong it was . But ultimately the hotel food and ambience is very nice hence we chose it to celebrate this milestone. Thanks . Thando Sitelo

Room was lovely and well equipped. Food and catering excellent, Segway tour a must!!

No outside space despite being in an expensive suite. Didn’t really feel we were on a vineyard just a luxury ressort which to be fair was nice.

Can’t find anything I disliked

Our stay at Spier Hotel in Stellenbosch was nothing short of exceptional and exceeded every expectation. The property itself is absolutely stunning—vast, beautifully designed, and so expansive that you can easily run over 20 kilometers without ever leaving the grounds. It feels like a private paradise. The botanical gardens are impeccably maintained, with lush, deep‑green English lawns, breathtaking landscaping, and a gorgeous pool area complemented by incredibly comfortable sun loungers. A truly rare and delightful surprise was the fully complimentary minibar, stocked with high-quality beverages and snacks—something you hardly ever encounter at this level and a sign of true hospitality. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and beautifully designed. Everything about the layout, materials, and ambiance felt so perfect that we honestly said we would build our own home exactly like this. In the evenings, the beds were thoughtfully turned down, adding a wonderful touch of luxury. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptional staff. Every single team member was warm, attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our stay perfect. We have absolutely nothing to criticize—this hotel does everything right. We would return immediately and wholeheartedly recommend Spier Hotel to anyone seeking an unforgettable stay in the Stellenbosch region.
