No storage.poor amenities, cold and uninviting. Did not stay found an alternative accommodation

Spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable - not pricey, uncomplicated and close to the station. I needed somewhere for the night close to Darlington station and Geneva Cottage did exactly what it said on the tin. Host was very friendly helpful and informative. Check in was hassle free. This was one room (with adjoining bathroom) in a shared house; the three other guests (all there for work) were quiet and considerate, leaving without waking me!

Very good location, only a short walk or two bus stops from Darlington station (buses 13a or 13b). Big Asda supermarket almost next door (the previous Matalan bus stop) and an excellent pub (Copper Beech) for good food and customer service one bus stop further down the road. Communal kitchen and living room. Our room was upstairs, but the steps weren't steep and the handrails on both sides were perfect. There's one big room downstairs. There's one low step on the front door. There are bathrooms both downstairs and upstairs, hand soap and shower gel were provided. Hosts were great, and responded quickly to a spotted issue (bathroom lights stopped working).

Heating was a bit too hot in the beginning, but the host turned it down a bit and gave guidance on how to open the windows. The tub in upstairs bathroom could use a handrail for safety reasons, can't say about downstairs bathroom. Bring your own shampoo.
