The Last Point Koh Takiev

Basically the location was incredible. If you are a person who likes to wake up with the roosters and stroll to the ocean to witness the birth of a new days sun, then this place is going to be incredible for you. Theres a 1km beach outside, the staff we so friendly, and welcoming straight from the boat, and had a few issues when i got there because the tent i had booked was damaged so they straight away upgraded me to a private bungalow with double bed, mosquito net and private bathroom for now additional cost. When i left, i even forgot my telephone on the island, i contacted them straight away and they found it for me and shipped it back to me in my next destination the very next day. Amazing team, and great island.

A unique experience at The Last Resort. A great location and a fantastic beach ⛱️ Chris does a great job of organising your stay. Good pickup and drop off on the mainland 🏝 The Bungalow was very comfortable and I loved my outside loo and shower room. Nice long beach to walk along and some great hikes through the jungle to the other resorts. Loved a dip in the sea watching the sunrise.

Beautiful island and love the vibe. I'd recommend taking a screen shot of your booking before arriving as cell coverage is spotty and when we arrived, were told that we hadn't booked a bungalow and so spent our first night in hammocks (they offered us a tent). Food is good, and common spaces are shaded and comfortable. Ocean is beautiful and water is warm. Pretty close to paradise!

Wasn't happy about the mix up in our reservation but glad they were able to give us a bungalow for our second night. Communal showers would have been better if they had a curtain.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s all quite basic, but was comfortable enough.

They really need to provide doors that both close and have padlocks available as it’s no good not being able to lock anything away or to feel somebody could come into your room at any point day or night.

The staff (Chris and Tee) are absolutely amazing and do everything to make their guests feel comfortable. The menu is not huge, and you may have to wait a while for your food but it’s tasty! We enjoyed the location and views and the feel of being part of a small khmer village. There’s a friendly and cozy atmosphere in the bar area. The dogs and puppies were really sweet. The beach was beautiful and it’s a very nice shallow bay. You can walk over to the other island resort in five minutes (many well tasting veg options!) and there are several treks that can be made to other beaches and parts of the island.

The description of the place was not 100% accurate though as there was no WiFi. The bungalows really need an update and to be cleaned better. Chairs were lacking both in the restaurant and the bungalow terrace. Many of the chairs in the restaurant area practically fell apart and were dangerous. Mosquito net was full of holes and the bathrooms were a bit smelly with frequent visitors of various small jungle animals (spiders, rats, frogs). The generator makes much noise in the evening and for a while in the morning, as this is the only source of electricity. Would be nice to move this further away in the jungle. Bed was not too bad, but the mattresses could be better.
