Oakland/University @C Modern & Stylish Private Bedroom with Shared Bathroom

Location was good if going to university area. You'll want a car if you are traveling elsewhere.

Floors were creaky, it's an old house. When people were up wandering around late at night it was hard not to notice. I am used to much quieter surroundings.

A lot cleaner than expected. Maybe I was lucky but my neighboring rooms were also respectable of quiet hours.

The rules of the apartment were not intrusive but still made the tenants cooperate with one another. Other guests respected shoe and noise rules, which allowed me to rest. The room where I stayed was huge and the bed was clean!

The bathroom I used was full of hairs, although this was another guest's fault, and has nothing to do with the rental property. As an European, I had trouble finding out that the "outer door" existed and had trouble finding the lock (again, this is not the rental property's fault, it is my own).

Location made me feel like I was home but even safer. Bed was comfortable and everything was very tidy. Doors have code locks for each room and the entrance which is nice in terms of security. Shower was great. Kitchen was stocked with dishes and seasonings. There were also cubbies for our shoes and containers for food in the fridge. The neighborhood was very quiet with families in the area playing outside, which was nice to see.

I would have liked if I knew more about check in the day before rather than day of.

We like it. We will come back again

Very clean and the bed is comfortable.
