The Goods Wagon, private garden and stunning views

Location was excellent with superb views. Tea and coffee would have been a bonus but we had our own so wasn't a problem. The accommodation was quirky and unique. Bathroom was plush and an excellent facility

The only downside was the separate bathroom and toilet. Apart from that it was a great experience.

The facilities are excellent. The location and views were fantastic. A five minute stroll to the train station and bus stop and a lovely walk into Alnmouth

There was nothing to dislike apart from the weather a couple of days but you can't do anything about that

The location is lovely! our second time staying here and will always opt to stay here if around the Northumberland area.

Goods Wagon very hot on arrival so should have been properly aired. Some basic food items left like sugar were encrusted.

Wow! We were blown away by this gorgeous hidden gem. The Goods Wagon is situated in a walled garden which is completely private and for your use when staying there, complete with BBQ, campfire and modern shower and toilet facilities. In front of the wagon is a decking area with two rocking chairs that gives you a view out over the surrounding hills and valleys. We absolutely loved this and sat every night watching the livestock, birds and wildlife in the evening sun. The interior of the Goods Wagon is clean, cosy and (relatively) spacious. It has everything you need to make breakfast or a light meal with two hob rings, kettle, toaster and a microwave oven, a few pans and utensils, washing up facilities, and a fridge. Tea and coffee are provided and there was even a pint of milk in the fridge when we arrived which was a nice touch. The bed is spacious and comfortable and my husband and I both slept really well there. There is a wood burner with fuel and firelighters provided but we didn't use that as the weather was warm when we stayed there. We have a car and there is a parking spot close to the Goods Wagon, but if you were on public transport it is situated within 10mins walking distance of the Alnmouth train station and a longer walk (perhaps 30mins) into Alnmouth itself. It's ideally situated for exploring the Northumberland coast.

The microwave had a lot of buttons and no instructions so eventually we gave up trying to work out how to use it! This was not really a problem as we were only intending to heat a drink, not cook with it.

Quaint , beautiful place , amenities excellent. It has everything you need for your stay . The bed is soooo comfortable! The host is really kind
