Cheerful two bedroom cottage in the Forest of Dean

Lovely well-equipped cottage with a homely feel and lovely decor. The introduction pack supplied by the host covered all the necessary information which was so useful. Very clean and lots of toiletries and other sundries was a welcome bonus. We found nothing to dislike in relation to the accommodation which was economically priced.

The location was a little disappointing; no local pub and generally short of amenities; you need a car to get about for sightseeing, shopping and eating/drinking. That said the village of Ruardean is well placed for accessing a wide range of activities within the Forest of Dean.

I tried the heating but even with it on it was still quite cold. And couldn’t get the fire going.

What a beautiful place to stay. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable, charming wooden furniture and all apliances needed to make your stay more comfortable. We used the wood burner the two nights and played some of the board games provided. Best place to stay, I higly recommend it.
