Staffs were amazing

Beautiful hotel, very new (according to the reception, they only run for a year). The pool is amazing with great view, the room was super, with comfy bed, big and a shower in front of the hotel's awesome open view

The food was okay. Not bad, but I can't say it was the best we had in Vietnam. With that being said, based on other recommendations of other hotels in the area, it was way better than we expected. In addition, they do not accept credit card, so make sure you have enough cash

We had a wonderful experience at Muong Lo Retreat and couldn't complain. A few searches will reveal that the prices here are some of the highest in the area, but the stay will prove that it's worth it. The location, the room, the food, the staff, everything was up to high standards, especially the friendly staff team that go above and beyond to make sure we had a positive experience there. We booked our vacation in a pinch due to our work schedule, so we didn't have a lot of preparation and research before our trip. The friendly staff was very willing to give us a detailed review on the local cuisines and where to get them, locations for hot spring + comparisons between the big names, advices on how to get to the villages around the area + how accessible they were (we wanted to go sightseeing and take pictures). Muong Lo Retreat offers quite the diverse menu at their restaurant. The staff helped us with recommendation for what goes well together, what was in season. We only had 2 people so they even adjusted the proportion (with the price) from the original menu to ensure we got to try most of what they offered. The location being near the town center also means that you have plenty of options for driving around in whichever direction, plus you don't have to worry about the noises from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, no complaints. They charge good money for their services, but they back it up with quality. Oh and they just finished their new soccer field if you're into that :))))))) free for guests (we think)
