NLThe artist’s house is a very inspirational place to be. Never have we felt so honoured by a host. We stayed together with two other couples, given that this is a large house we felt a lot of privacy. Sharing stories around the fireplace gave even more depth to our stay. A sauna was recently added to the well furnished house. Breakfast could be arranged, a real treat. Nothing was too much for our host. Her presence created a positive atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable and welcome.
Nothing comes to mind, maybe only that we stayed not long enough to enjoy the artist’s house even more.

NZThe location was fine for our stay and the facilities at the accommodation were great, it was also good for us that the accommodation was pet friendly. The house was lovely and warm, bedroom heater upstairs and the fire was going downstairs on our arrival and during our stay.
SGI really love the comfy and warm home as I arrived quite late at night. Sonia switched on the heater and it was warm when I arrived. It was so comfy and great!
Nothing that I have disliked.
USThe house and grounds are decorated by the host and each room/space is unique. The shared living room and kitchen are very well equipped for guests to prepare their own meals including an outdoor gas BBQ. Per recommendations by the host, I bought my groceries in town and prepared them at the house. The other guests were quite friendly and we had a lovely chat. The garden was just coming back from winter and in the summer is in full bloom with assorted herbs. There is a lovely little stream in the back of the property. I would stay there again if passing through.
Wouldn't change a thing. Only disappointed that I didn't meet the resident feline!

NZWe liked the location (10mins from town), having full use of the house that was openly shared by Sonia the owner (who lives on another part of the property), and the welcoming feel Sonia provided during our whole stay.
There was nothing we didn't like.
USSonia prepared a very healthy and tasty breakfast for us both mornings we were there. Our last night we shared a spontaneous dance and pizza party with her family and the other couple guests. Best stay of our three week on South Island.
USWe loved the Artist's House in Wanaka. The host, Sonia, was absolutely amazing. Each room is fully private with a shared kitchen, living area, bathroom, and outdoor space. The best part is that the art in the house is all Sonia's! She was so welcoming, showing us around and how everything worked when we set up and she even came over the morning to make us a flat white! The room was very comfortable and well appointed. I only wish we could have stayed longer to explore the swimming hole in the river that runs behind her property or make pizza in her outdoor pizza oven (ingredients and instructions are provided).
