Just having one shower for 10 people and the noises from the beds

Something like 12 capsules to share 1 shower and 1 toilet. Disgusting and is a health and fire hazard. Also means constantly people coming in and out all night. Didn’t sleep that night. Neighbouring capsule beds are super squeaky and loud. Bedding had other people’s hair on it. Again, disgusting. No space to out belongings especially with the amount of cold weather/ski gear. Room is extremely hot and capsule is even hotter. Cannot close door because of the heat sacrificing privacy. Strange smell all throughout the building that doesn’t go away. Staff is super unresponsive. Tried to ask questions week before staying and never replied. Reception doesn’t have anyone there. Was waiting 45 minutes before someone came and helped. Very poor service

Direct shuttle in the morning and large breakfast buffet. And being this close to the ski resort was really a plus.

There is no storage space for your clothes except in the capsule which is small. And the capsule is not sound proofed. Unfortunately there was only one small common room for around 4 people or you could sit downstairs in the cold bar room. Would be nice to have a welcoming common room to meet other people.

The staff were great.

The pods made a ton of noise when you moved in them. The bottom section was freezing I had to sleep with my thermal layers on.

The hotel is new and our room was excellent, probably the best equipped I have had on any skiing trip. The kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms all well considered in a good design. Also spacious as we were a group of 5. The balcony was a plus, if only to see the snow pile up over the week we were there. The morning shuttle to the slopes was really great value as otherwise you are at the mercy of the free Hirafu shuttle which has a stop nearby but does not run frequently enough and is always overcrowded in the peak morning and afternoon periods.

The breakfast was reasonable with a mix of Asian and western options, although a bit overcrowded in a small area at times. The dinner was a hotpot self cook at the table which was OK for 1 night but its the same every night which does not work. we ate there on the first night but used the food trucks in the main area of the village and a restaurant for the rest of our stay. The hotel is located right on the perimeter of lower Hirafu so its a 10-15 min walk to the centre of the village and at least 25 to the ace gondola and imo not at all doable with ski gear. Hence the dependency on the shuttle. If they did a free shuttle pick up window from the slopes in the afternoon as per the morning that would solve the issue completely.
