The stables at the Grange

Well equipped and spotless. Large parking area right outside. Light bright and spacious. Bed was very comfy. TV was quite small and far from the bed.

I wrongly assumed the issues raised by others with regard to privacy would have been addressed. This was not the case. You can see right into the kitchen of the owners property, which gets increasingly uncomfortable as it gets dark. Thankfully, we didn't see anyone while in the accommodation as this would have felt awkward. You need to make sure you're covered while going to the toilet. You will feel exposed. Also, no hob, we weren't cooking, but it did make me wonder if the owners consider feedback as i think these are two changes that are simple but highly effective. It appears there is a door to the main house inside in the accommodation too. I hope we didn't make any noise that could be heard. A minor thing but when we arrived there was only a tiny piece of toilet roll left, so we immediately had to go out to the shop...this isn't something I want to be contacting the owner about on arrival.

Communication was excellent - the host replied to messages very quickly. The apartment was lovely- very nicely decorated with quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable. The location was handy for York with bus stop close by, and park and ride not too far away.

There was no hanging space for clothes. The apartment would benefit from a clothes rail or wardrobe. There was also no hob / oven. I think a counter 2 ring hob would make the accommodation pretty much perfect.

Everything, I cannot complain about this place at all. It was very clean, well presented, comfy and had the vast majority of facilities needed. Was nice to have a business trip away where I could relax a little. The bed itself was very comfy and nice and clean, really liked the fact that you could black out the windows aswell which made sleeping more peaceful. The shower is the show stopper of this venue. The rainfall shower head was extremely relaxing and the bathroom gave spa vibes.

There's no oven or hob so if you're eating get yourself a microwave meal There was a door that I believe led to their laundry room which sometimes was a little bit noisy, I did get woken up the one morning by it. You couldn't shut any curtains in the kitchen dining area which made it awkward when I was coming out of the shower. I imagine normally it's okay because they do have a big gate but when I stayed there was a storm which knocked the gate out meaning it stayed open, there were neighbours opposite so at points it did feel a little intrusive, especially on the evenings

A lovely room, with easy access to York or Thirsk if youre driving The decor is very pleasant and it has a decent sized really hot shower This property is excellent for anybody who may have some mobility issues but would not be suitable if youre a chair user The bed is huge and really comfy, and the rooms are well proportioned There was even some fresh milk awaiting me. Its a really secure property, and suits me perfectly as its close to my work location, so I will definitely be booking it again

The electric gate wouldn't open when I returned on 1 off the nights, unfortunately I had to get the owners out of bed to let me in
