Svingen Guesthouse - Panoramic Fjord Views in Flåm

Excellent location just above the fjord - we had a seaview room, the view was superb. The owners Cathy and Michael are so nice and helpful! The room was really comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was well appointed, you can really cook in there and the owners leave coffee, tea, spices, milk, butter, jam etc. for the residents. Lots of room to mingle or stay private, and the balcony is great when the weather is good.

Nothing to do with the guest house but massive cruise ships dock 3 times a week in the bay, and block the view. The biggest will be banned from next year, so something to look forward to!

There are no words to describe how amazing this place is! Impeccably clean, beautifully & lovingly furnished in a retro-1960 to 1980 style - (but everything looks new & clean!) The views from the balcony, common areas & your room (if you have booked fjord views) are stunning! Shared bathroom, but never had to wait & never really felt like sharing. Full shared kitchen.Caretaker hosts very friendly & accommodating. Such a fabulous experience staying here. Thanks so much xx

La cuisine est très fonctionnelle, on ne manque de rien. Il y a plusieurs espaces pour les repas, donc chaque famille peut avoir son espace privé. La salle de bain de l'étage est grande et il y a deux douches en bas pour les moments d'affluence. On n'avait pas compris que les salles de bains étaient partagées mais on s'y est très bien faits. Il est très agréable d'être un peu à l'écart du centre de Flam qui est très touristique. Le restaurant la Marina juste en bas est très bon, et on n'a pas essayé la ferme du propriétaire.

en lisant sur l'annonce de booking "Certains hébergements offrent une vue sur la mer. Tous disposent d’une salle de bains commune.", on n'a pas compris que les salles de bain étaient partagées. On a compris que chaque chambre avait une salle de bain commune avec la chambre. Peut etre formuler autrement.

Otelin tasarımı, tarzını, konumunu, harika manzara deneyimi sunmasını çok beğendim. Ruhu, karakteri olan bir konsept olması geçirdiğim vakti daha da güzelleştirdi. Otel sahiplerinin sevecenliği, ilgi alakası da çok memnun etti. Flam'a erken gelmiştik, odamızı hazır olduğu için erken giriş imkanı sağlandı. Dönüş sürecinde valizlerimizi bırakabilmemiz konusunda yardımcı oldular. Mutfak kullanım alanında yemek yapmak ve kahvaltı hazırlamak için bütün ekipmanları mevcuttu ve kullanımımıza açıktı. Fiyort manzarasına uyanarak güne başlamak harika bir başlangıçtı.

Sevmediğimiz hiçbir şey yok sanırım, ortak banyo kullanımı mevcut ama oda sayısının az olması ve her zaman çok temiz olması sebebiyle sorun olarak görmedik.

What a great place! Beautiful views. Loved that I could use the living room, kitchen and balconies.

For the price the only thing I missed was a breakfast, which always adds to the experience especially in a nice location, but since there is a kitchen one can easily cater for yourself. The host brewed fresh coffee.

Englische Vermieterin, echte Gastfreundschaft, man fühlt sich als Hausgast und nicht als Tourist Mein Highlight: Floating Sauna direkt am Fjord, 5 Minuten Fußweg vom Haus, zum Abkühlen geht man in den Fjord!

This place is a gem. The view is probably the best you will ever have of the fjords. Whilst you share a bathroom (there are two or three) with other guests, you don’t really feel that you do. The place is kept so spotless and clean and yore is super quiet. We had a twin room which backed onto the garden , but actually we could still see the fjord on the side, which was a bonus. There was a handbasin just outside bedroom which was private and that was also nice. Breakfast on the balcony amazing. They supply free milk and tea nd coffee, which is helpful. The team who look after it are super friendly and advice on places to go. It also has a quaint feel about it, which is quite nostalgic, like visiting your grandmothers home. If I were you I would book it!

A second pillow on bed for comfort and bigger bath towel.
