Svingen Guesthouse - Panoramic Fjord Views in Flåm

Everything was perfect…the location afforded beautiful views and areas to enjoy being in Flam. But the BEST was the family who managed the guesthouse! Cathy and her family were welcoming, accommodating and friendly. They treated us like family and made sure all of our needs were supplied. Even though it states in the information “shared bathrooms”, that was not a problem. There were water closets and sinks in area besides in the full bathrooms, so we were always able to be accommodated, even on mornings when guests needed to meet their travel tours and transportation accesses. The entire house was spotless and every inch cleaned every day! We loved our stay and hope to return.

We have no negative issues with the property.

This was a simple, but clean and cute guesthouse located in Flam where stays come at a higher cost. I chose Svingen as it was the most reasonably priced for my budget since hotels tend to be pricey in the area. I found it to be very clean and appreciated their no shoes policy. I only stayed one night, but showers and toilets were never an issue, even though they are shared. My room had its own sink which was convenient. I would definitely stay here again if I ever found myself back in Flam.
