DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island

The wonderful staff were a highlight of our stay. They couldn't do enough for us to make our time relaxed, fun and enjoyable. They were so friendly and made a point of remembering our names and greeting us warmly everyday. We loved our room too! Big, spacious, comfortable and a view of the water! Paradise.

Fiji, my happy place! I absolutely loved every moment of my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, Sonaisali Island. The short boat ride across from the mainland to the island was such a fun way to arrive with such welcoming staff on both sides. A special shout‑out to Mere, Sala, and Jim - they were so wonderful. Jim remembered my morning coffee every single day before I even asked, and it became one of the highlights of my stay. Mere and Sala were warm, friendly and attentive that I felt like I was staying with family rather than at a resort. And honestly, every other staff member I met was just as wonderful - the whole team radiates that famous Fijian hospitality. As a solo traveller, I also really appreciated the hotel taxi service when I went into Nadi. My driver waited for me the whole time, which meant I didn’t have to worry about finding a taxi in town. It made me feel safe, relaxed, and completely looked after. My room was perfect, comfortable, and beautifully presented on arrival, with a fabulous view out to the ocean that made it a joy to open up to every morning. The pool area was perfect for relaxing, and the cocktails were absolutely on point. I loved that there were 3 happy hours over the day, made the cocktails even more sweeter. The food was delicious with generous portions, and the entertainment on a couple of the banquet nights I attended added so much fun and energy to the evenings. Whether I was relaxing, eating, swimming, or just wandering around, everything felt effortless and enjoyable. Another highlight was my day trip to Beachcomber Island, which was absolutely fantastic. Huge thanks to Kirtika at the tour desk, who was so lovely and genuinely interested in my plans and how I was enjoying my stay. Her help made the whole experience seamless and memorable. I loved every aspect of my stay and can’t recommend this resort highly enough. Vinaka vakalevu to the entire team - you made my trip unforgettable.

Food was ok, availability and the time to get into some restaurants was poor, travelling with another couple we booked the same rooms ocean views beach front and our room was very under rated with a solid door blocking view. No beach access or swimmable sea, we came from a resort 1/2 the price and better facilities all round

The breakfast was inclusive in the price. The food was good. There was a separate section for gluten free options.
