GBA comfortable flat in a perfect location, overlooking the harbour and close to good cafes, restaurants and the tour boat jetty. There were great views across the water to the hills beyond, especially at dusk. Off street parking was available. The host Carolyn was very responsive to our request for missing consumables and followed up promptly to check that all was well. Good value for money.
The noise from tour buses parked outside with their engines idling was bothersome during the day. The sound insulation from the flats on either side was poor. We could hear clearly people moving around next door and shouting at times. Water glasses in the upstairs bathroom would be helpful. The instructions for the stove oven/grill were not for the right model. Trial and error was necessary until we worked out what to do.
AUThis is a brilliant place to stay, in a perfect location overlooking the harbour. The apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need including a full kitchen and washing machine/dryer.

USThe apartment was a wonderful value for our stay in Akaroa! The beds were comfortable, and the apartment was clean and well-appointed. The location and views were excellent. I really do wish we could have stayed longer.
