The Wiltshire Hotel, Golf and Leisure Resort

The room did not match the images on the advert, however it was clean. Breakfast was good, food well prepared and tasty.

The toilet didn't flush properly, the advert said heated pool it was freezing, their were no lockers available despite there only being four people in the leisure suite. I had to take the towel from my hotel room, as apparently there were no towels in the leisure club? The building looks tired, and unloved. Concrete floors reminded me more of a warehouse not a hotel. The corridors again were very dated and tired. Even the front steps into the hotel looked un cared for, it would take no time to paint the white on them to make the hotel looked cared for. The staff on the whole were friendly, though on the Wednesday afternoon when I came down for some ice from the bar, I was told the bar was closed. I said id like some ice, he said the bar is closed. To which I said, well how do I get ice? He then agreed to fetch some. I did send a message on their system to express my distefaction, but despite asking for a member of the management to contact me to discuss I got no reply. The female receptionist on my departure was willing to listen to my comments, but I leave doubting I would go back.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. The swimming pool was decent and enjoyable to use. If you are simply looking for somewhere to sleep for the night, the hotel serves its purpose well. It also appears to be better suited to guests who are primarily using the gym or golf facilities.

The hotel seems to be undergoing renovation, which impacts the overall experience. The carpets were noticeably dirty in some areas and could benefit from better maintenance. Unfortunately, the spa was not operational during our visit, and parts of the jacuzzi area were still under construction. The restaurant was also disappointing.we ordered the green curry, which was very watery and tasted like a ready-made meal that had been diluted with extra water and salt. In addition, the restaurant lacked atmosphere and was very quiet. Another inconvenience was that the main entrance is locked at night. We initially rang the bell but received no response and had to call the provided number to gain access. Overall, this hotel is acceptable if you only need a bed for the night. However, if you are looking for a relaxing getaway with fully functioning spa facilities and a quality dining experience, this may not be the best choice until the renovation work is completed.

Nothing absolutely nothing the whole place was filthy and I refused to stay and left 2 hours after checking in.

Spa facilities consisted of a lukewarm sauna, a cold swimming pool and a jacuzzi, meant to have a steam room? Didn’t see one just a building site it looked like. The children’s pool wasn’t safe and had cones around it. Then we get to the suite that cost £160.00 No satellite channels as advertised body hair all over the bathroom floor and the shower and bath giving scolding hot and freezing cold water every 20 seconds. No ironing facilities, then came the restaurant meant to be really good yet the menu is on a laminated piece of A4. The changing rooms were filthy covered in lime scale and cobwebs everywhere, no hair dryers in the men’s. I was here 2 hours and decided to leave as it was just filthy and genuinely felt like I would of had a better night to sleep at a cheap travel lodge. Avoid this place at all costs. When I queried this all I haven’t had a response from the hotel. Such a shame what they have done to this place because it could of been really nice.
