The Wiltshire Hotel, Golf and Leisure Resort

The location of the hotel in the middle of the countryside and the gym had all new equipment & very clean & maintained. The room/bathroom was very spacious and desk space to work from with views across the car park.

Luke warm water in the shower after a workout wasn't brilliant. Woke up cold in the night due to the thin duvet & no blanket available! The coffee cup I was given when I had a coffee in the bar was cracked (inside & out!) leaking onto the saucer! No one available to talk to as he was running around in the kitchen for customers (have attached photos)! No one on the front desk when I checked out and had to ring the hotel number to find out what to do with the room card!

Large rooms nice quiet hotel, pool and spa was great after long days exploring the area

Staff didn't want to give us a glass of ice for our water and the rooms didn't have refrigerator.

The hotel was OK the biggest issue was the check in. We were asked for photo ID. I don't take my driving licence with me and did not take my debit card with me. The guy on reception was not helpful at all and said we should have read the small print stating we needed it. Said we could not stay. Even though I should him the email from the hotel for me to do a check in at home that morning. It was very embarrassing. We have stayed in dozens of hotels in the UK and have never had to show ID we do when we go on holiday abroad. Lukly I had my disability blue badge with me so he accepted that. Will not stay hear again

Better reception staff

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The room was clean apart from a stain on the side of the base of the bed.

The light over one side of the bed did not work nor the light over the desk in the room

Great location, spacious rooms, very nice pool area although a bit tired in some places. Staff very welcoming and polite.Breakfast was ok

We discovered on our last day that our bedroom door didn’t actually lock. Told the receptionist who was surprised.

It was exactly what I needed for an overnight stay at short notice Staff allowed for a late checkout

Because it was a quiet time for them It would be unfair to make any negative statements

The 4 members of staff tried their best, but had no support from owners/management

Room was freezing when we got there and I had to go to screwfix to buy a heater as was so cold and nothing to offer from hotel. My wife is gluten free and for breakfast 2s offered 6 mini pigs in blankets, no fruit, not one of the lockers in changing rooms had a key to look valuables
