Le charme de la maison, le choix des meubles anciens de qualité, l’ambiance intime, le personnel qui vieille sur nous, la cuisine. Un lieu parfait pour sortir des entiers battus avec une expérience unique dans la campagne de Goa.

Nice interiors with lots of books

Very expensive for the service provided. Not value for money. Staff were hurrying up to close breakfast although no other guests were in property.

"Magnificent heritage mansion and a relaxing stay"

Lovely 200 year old heritage mansion set in a sleepy Waddo (hamlet), beside a small lake and verdant paddy fields. There are large comfortable rooms with verandahs, a stately communal dining room, a well appointed common living room / library and a courtyard with another outdoor dining space. Evening tea is served in the garden in front, facing a large lawn and the lake. The food is delicious, enhanced with local pao sourced from the Poder who goes house to house every morning and evening, honking on their horns to announce the arrival of fresh off the oven bread (discovered the true meaning of “give us this day our daily bread” 😋). The staff are locals and all wonderful people who take good care of you. This is truly a hidden gem in the quieter side of Goa and a haven for those wanting to unwind, slow down and experience the true Goan life.

When we went they hadn’t got a bar licence yet, so one can get caught out if unprepared. Remember to carry your own booze.

Good looking property with old Portuguese charm in a small village setting.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the room had virtually no soundproofing. Continuous dog barking from 2 a.m. and a rooster crowing from around 3:30 a.m. made it impossible to get any sleep.
