I arrived on a saturday mid April and was the only individual guest. A big building as the center is quite impressive on your own. I am traveling for the first time alone again, as my Love passed away 4 months ago. Afterwards I discovered, that there were other guests at the first floor, the tabletennis professionals training at the center. Lars, member of the leading team at the center, came on his free weekendday to welcome me and to see, if I am okay. I highly appreciate his appearance, his personal interest and our conversation. Thank you Lars. If my journey passes by Hirtshals, I will visit you again.

I loved the rooms and how easy was to access to my room with the provided instructions. The staff is amazingly friendly and the place is clean.

No breakfast, rudimentary food prep facilities, but adequate. I was alone in a 4 bunk room, but the top bunks folded up, so was like a single bed. Room was well heated and ventilated. The facility is actually very similar to a YMCA. It is a long distance from the ferry terminal, but the host, Lars, drove myself and two other guests to the terminal in lots of time to board the ferry. I would definitely stay there again. My only complaint was that the showers were just warm enough. Got a note from Lars afterwards that he had tweaked the heat up a bit on my recommendation. 7 stars out of 5!
