Gonzalos's Guest Apartments - Alfama Terrace

The host. He was very responsive as well as proactive and messaged everyday to check if we needed anything. Also the property had all the amenities and a nice terrace. Restaurants and shops were close by and so was the tram although we didn’t use it as we walked everywhere or caught uber.

The area - whilst some areas of Alfama a pretty, there are some streets that seemed a little sketchy especially at night.

Great apartment smack in the middle of Alfama - can only recommend

Truly great place for a family stay with fully equipped kitche and nice outside terrace, we did enjoy it a lot, the location is beatifual as well as the apartment itself.

Location is very good, beautiful views and easy to walk to or access transportation. The outdoor space is nice. It is in a busy area so you will hear the tram, dogs barking, and traffic. The location is the best part of this apartment.

The key to the apartment is a physical key. Since I was traveling with 3 other people and at times we wanted to do different things this made it difficult. We had to message/coordinate to make sure we could get back in. Also, we only were provided with 3 bath towels for 4 people. After traveling for an extended amount of time and long flight we all wanted to shower. It took sending a few messages to the host through Booking and WhatsApp to receive a 4th towel which we finally got towards the end of our 2nd day.

Incorrect code provided for lockbox initially. Too many emails, texts etc requesting information prior to stay Some minor maintenance issues - microwave door wouldn’t open, chipped glasses/cups

Location is perfect, lots of small nice restaurants, very cosy old neighborhood. The terrace is perfect on a sunny day and adds more space to the apartment. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed in the kichen, great shower, good beds. Excellent communication with owner Apartment is bright and cosy

We where a family of five, four adults and one child, the apartment could fit us, but the sofabed fills up the living room when in use, so the apartment is better for 4 persons. We could have used more closed space in one of the bedrooms.

We arrived earlier than expected, our host was gracious enough to let us check in early. Upon entering the apartment we were greeted with welcome treats and a beautiful apartment. It had everything we could possibly need and our host checked in regularly to ensure our stay was going well or if he could offer suggestions. I highly recommend this location and host. I would love to stay there again in the future.

Place was super clean. The owner was amazing and provided valuable information. 10/10
