Westdale Cottage, Elton in the Peak District

This is a fantastic little cottage perfect for 2-4 people. The house had everything you need- super basics package which was better than basic with essential cleaning things including Milk tea sugar biscuit’s and sanpelligrino - which were a really lovely touch. Lovely and warm and loved the under floor heating. Perfect position on the edge of the village to go on walks from the cottage or travel 10-15 minutes to bigger villages etc

The sofas were not particularly comfortable. The cleaning wasn’t perfect as we found someone else’s underwear the double bed.

I liked everything! The cottage itself was lovely and cosy and exceeded my expectations. On top of that the location was stunning!

Location is lovely and ideal for a quiet break.

There could be more attention to detail of small things:- No drinking glasses for long drinks Bath towels too small No spoons or small desert bowls Heating was too fierce, (although the weather was unseasonably warm.) Lights in porch have been broken for both our visits, 2024 too. The torch didn't work either.

Was clean and rustic, loved the old style cottage

One low beam but was a sign to watch your head but still hit my head as I have half asleep going to toilet but nothing can be done about this because of how old the property, Stairs not great for a younger child potentially stair gates would be a good idea?

Great Location if you like walking. Lots walks straight from the house.
