Not as advertised.not all rooms had bathrooms and was not wheelchair friendly as stated when asked.

Beautiful environment and very comfortable accommodation. The owners were very friendly and the views on the property are beautiful. I can recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature.

Location is amazing: not too far, no hectic roads, but enough away to feel away. The property (outside) itself is unbelievable. The beautiful flowing gardens of roses etc were quite something. Great for strolls and also for playing ball. Inside felt like a huge trust deposit: this massive stately dining table and comfy lounge chairs, great kitchen… it all felt like we were being really spoiled and entrusted with a home that’s been running for generations (which is what it is actually!). Bedrooms were lovely. The house was naturally cool due to its old construction : thick walls; high ceilings; thatch roof. Amazing even in sweltering heat.

The pool wasn’t functional, sadly - so that would be great for next time. I’m also looking forward to coming in the winter when the river out front is running. We were very safe and secure but I’m not sure if there is front gate security in the case of someone’s ill intent.

Charmaine went out of her way for us as we arrived quite late. She was friendly, professional and kind.

Sadly, load-shedding is part of our South African life, but it has had very negative implications for our stay. The power was off on arrival and Charmaine explained the process of the generator and the possibility of the outside hot water geyser switching off and having to be manually turned on. We enjoyed a hot shower the evening of our arrival even though the power was off. The shower water did however, not drain effectively. We were not able to use the TV as that did not seem to work during loadshedding, there was one sachet of milk and no tea bags. The following morning, Charmaine provided tea bags and some more milk sachets. The challenges were really when we returned the second evening at about 11.30pm from the function we had attended. The generator was off which meant there were no lights available. We had to use the light from our cell phones to navigate our way into the cottage. There were no torches or emergency light sources available. The curtain rail across the front door is not secure, so in trying to open the door and moving the curtain away, the metal curtain rail fell on my husband's head. The geyser had also tripped again, and we were unable to switch it on in the dark. This meant that we were unable to have a hot shower after our evening out. No showering, no tea/coffee, no TV! All-in-all a very disappointing stay which could also have turned into a potentially dangerous one if either of us had fallen in the process of getting into the dark cottage (uneven terrain and odd steps) or the rail falling on my husband's head broke the skin or resulted in concussion.

Beautiful farm and surrounding mountains. Nostalgic farm kitchen and might frogs on the lawn!

The communal swimming pool was green and not ready for our use even after I had checked beforehand for our two young boys to have access to a clean pool. They swam anyway! Bed sheet were replaced upon request.

Great place..great ppl.kid and dog friendly..staff and hosts,eager to assist.

Just sumthin small like candles/lamps for mozzies,flies and ants

We did our own catering and had the complete kitchen for ourselves . Our stay was awesome and I must really compliment Andre . He was so friendly and had emphathy with our situation for reason to have booked on such short notice
