The Royal Hotel Featherston - Boutique Hotel

The lady in the bar was great, as was the housekeeping lady. Restaurant food was good. Very ornate hotel decor lovely.

Room we had was very small with nonwhere to put anything. The interior lighting in the room was so dark. We had to pull back the drapes to make use of the street light shining in the window.

Great character room, great food

Very helpful and friendly staff. Good food and parking. Interesting bedroom and general decor.

No lift so stairs to the first floor bedrooms.

Excellent character and decor, a real treat. Everything was very good quality. And some nice touches in our room such as chilled water in the fridge. It was like stepping back in time but with modern comfort. Beautifully done. We also really liked the excellent Brac and Bow restaurant and bar service that was conveniently part of the hotel. The staff did a great job.

We weren't affected during our stay, but I think the doors are not well insulated so you'd hear if other guests opened or closed a door (they do provide earplugs though).
