Very attentive staff — everyone was friendly and always ready to help. The room was very comfortable, with a cozy bed and a spacious layout, and it was cleaned daily (Beach Villa). You are taken care of from the very beginning. You are welcomed with applause and bodu beru drums by the staff. Someone is assigned to show you around the hotel. The staff in the restaurant—and in fact everywhere—are very friendly. The food and service at the two restaurants included in the Serenity Plan are also very successful. All personal schedules and the hotel’s activity program can be easily viewed through the hotel app. The spa services were also very good. You do not need an alarm to wake up, those tropic birds do that for you :) One of the midday DJ sessions was very enjoyable and clearly showed that many guests were eager to have fun and dance. The sea and the beach are very beautiful. Even though the sand is very fine, water shoes are definitely recommended, as there are coral fragments and small rocks at the entry points that can hurt your feet. Nice colorful fish everywhere, its like swimming in a giant aquarium. We snorkeled every day, but after a few days there was nothing new to discover. Overall, it’s an ideal choice if your main goal is to relax, unwind, and enjoy a calm, laid-back atmosphere, which we did.

Despite the hotel being very beautiful, there were some downsides. The sea in front of the beach villas is crowded with jet skis and boats. Besides spoiling the view, swimming is not really enjoyable because of the boats. It would have been much better if all these watercraft were anchored outside the lagoon. That's why we hung out mostly at the main pool side. We had a villa near the reception, the further side's shore is rather rocky. You will see the boats are cleared (photoshopped) in the official hotel photos. The buffet is around 6/10, except for the Friday gala night, which was exceptional. Although there is food for everyone, I did not find the buffet particularly strong or impressive. Staff was amazing though. Evening activities at the hotel are limited and insufficient. If you are looking for dancing, I would recommend choosing another hotel. The “corner” where live music is played in the evenings is very weak. In a hotel with so few entertainment options, I at least expected a proper stage, but it is basically just a corner with two speakers and a microphone with plain background. The cocktail menu is also weak. Apart from 5–10 drinkable cocktails and wine, there is not much else. For such an expensive all-inclusive hotel, I expected a much stronger bar offering. Unfortunately, the house reef is also dead. Apart from a few colorful corals, everything is rocky and brown. The only colorful things are the fish. There wasn’t much difference during the house reef snorkeling tour either. Do consider that the weather might change every day. We had 2 sunny days out of 5 unfortunately. No additional rainy day activities, so you stuck in the room or sit at the pool bar whole day. Lack of streaming services in the rooms, but not that a big issue for us.

The food was delicious with plenty of choice across the two full-service restaurants and the buffet. The drinks were wonderful, with a great variety to choose from. Our room had everything we needed and the views were incredible. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. The pool was excellent, and there were many activities to choose from that kept each day new, fun, and relaxing. The beach was beautiful and peaceful, making it a perfect place to unwind.

I can honestly say that there was not a single thing to be critical of or negative about. Everything met or exceeded our expectations, and there were no misconceptions about the resort at all.

We had a wonderful stay and what truly made it special was the people. The staff were absolutely amazing. They were proactive, friendly, and always smiling. From housekeeping to the random staff members we met while strolling around the resort, everyone did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and our days brighter. A special thank you to the teams at both The Courtyard and Just Grill restaurants, they were incredibly accommodating and attentive. Our butler Nizaf, also deserve special mention for his exceptional care and attentiveness throughout our stay. Not forgetting the front desk staff that communicated with me via the app. We were lucky to have great weather and only went on one excursion, as we preferred to stay in and snorkel right in front of our Water Villa, which was absolutely perfect. The villa itself was very well furnished and impeccably clean. My favorite part was the bathroom layout — double sinks, a separate toilet and shower, and a beautiful bathtub (tip: bring your own bath bomb). We also really appreciated the thoughtful turndown service every evening. Overall, a truly memorable stay made even more special by the wonderful people.

The only downside during our stay was that the villa phone didn’t seem to be working or perhaps we didn’t know how to use it. We tried pressing “0” but couldn’t get through. One thing to note: getting to the resort from the airport takes about a 55-minute speedboat ride. While manageable, the sea was quite choppy and we ended up with a headache. A seaplane transfer would be a great plus point in the future, especially for returning guests, as everything at the resort is almost perfect. We would simply prefer a much easier and faster transfer next time.
