The apartment is only a 10min drive from the city center. There are multiple supermarkets within a 5min drive. The host wrote a welcome letter (even translated it to my native language) with some suggestions for activities. It was also accompanied with some cake from the local bakery. The apartment has everything you need for a longer holiday. Kitchen, laundry machine and all the standard stuff. Parking is easy in front of the door.

The apartment is a basement floor, so the ceiling is pretty low. This is only a problem for very tall people. While this was not a problem for me, the shower water has a bit of a sulfur smell. This is pretty standard for icelandic homes.

Lara Studio was an absolutely charming place — totally my style. The room was beautifully decorated, and the bedding was so comfortable I honestly wished I could pack it in my suitcase and take it home! We were welcomed with a cake from the best bakery in Reykjavík, and there was even a note written in Polish, prepared especially for us. The owner recommended what to see and what to avoid, and also explained a few things that might be surprising for visitors — like the smell of the water, which Icelanders don’t even notice, but for us at first smelled like rotten eggs. She also shared the names of stores where we could buy groceries at reasonable prices, and recommended her favorite restaurant. I was truly impressed. And waking up to that stunning blue sky — I couldn’t have asked for anything more. If I ever go back to Iceland, I’ll definitely stay at Lara Studio again. It was absolutely wonderful, and the owner was incredibly sweet.

It's not a fancy apartment - but it is comfortable,, and lots of extra effort is made. Welcome letter - a cake with free drinks in the refrigerator and other small things that make you feel welcome.

Everything was perfect for us. Clean and well equipped apartment. We really enjoyed the little personal touches of the adorable hostess. You pay a little money to get not just an apartment but a home away from home. Perfect choice for us.

Location was great, quiet suburbs. Good kitchen facilities and washing machine. Welcome note and goodies

Would have been great to have a microwave and the larger hot plate took forever to heat up.

At first, I chose a house with a washing machine because I was on a long trip and needed to do laundry. But I was pleasantly surprised to stay in such a wonderful house. The welcome cookies and a welcome letter written in Korean touched my heart. I also appreciated the thoughtful details throughout the house for the guests. It was great to stay warm and comfortable in cold Iceland. If I visit Iceland again, I would love to stay here again.
